Healing with Essential Oils and Aromatherapy

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

Healing with Essential Oils and Aromatherapy is an article that tells about how essential oils are used in healing. While a conventional medication, or a toothpaste for instance, can’t really penetrate down to the region in the gums that needs healing, essential oils can. The aroma penetrates into the body, which is why they call it “aromatherapy.”

I brushed my teeth with Oram Plus last night and was amazed at how clean my teeth felt, even though I only used a couple of drops. It has an essential oil taste, but not near as nasty as some. In fact, it was rather refreshing.

Symptoms of Gum Disease

Sunday, May 7th, 2006

If you are wondering if you might have gum disease, here are some of the more common symptoms. Do you have chronic bad breath that you just can’t seem to get rid of? That’s a real sign! Bleeding gums are also a symptom. The gums can also look red or discolored, but the real sign is that they start to shrink back from the teeth. Your teeth start having larger spaces between them, and ultimately get loose. My husband has dentures now because of gum disease. His teeth got so loose he was able to pull a few of them out by hand. Hopefully the rest of us will stop the progression of this disease before that happens!

One kind of funny thing is, he has actually grown a wisdom tooth since having his teeth all pulled and getting dentures! Fortunately it doesn’t interfere with his false teeth, but frankly, I don’t think he brushes his tooth very often, LOL!

Anyway, I read a long time ago that gum disease was the most common disease on earth. I guess everyone gets it to some degree or another if they live long enough.

Oram Plus is an all natural remedy designed just for healing gum disease. Since the dentists admit they have no real remedy, why don’t you give Oram Plus a try? It certainly costs a lot less than a visit to the dentist, and you get some neat freebies with your order, too! Check it out! (Great guarantee, too!)

Major Cleaning at the Dentist’s Office

Thursday, May 4th, 2006

Yesterday our son had to have his teeth cleaned and his gums treated at the dentist’s office. The hygienist numbed his gums with about 6 or more shots. Then he used a device to remove most of the plaque, followed up with a great deal of scraping. The next thing he did was to measure the pockets between our son’s teeth.

He then proceeded to apply a medicine called Arestin to the roots of his teeth. Fortunately we have Medicaid! This treatment would have cost about $1600 otherwise!

I feel sure Oram Plus, being a natural method, is effective and much less invasive or expensive. Still, we were glad to be able to get the treatment done. However, the hygienist said that the Arestin would have to be applied every three months! Who could ever afford that? Although, he said it wouldn’t have to be quite as thorough an application as the first time.

Fortunately, our son’s gums are not sore today. He really has done well. It was a trying ordeal having all that treatment done yesterday.

What is Periodontitis?

Monday, May 1st, 2006

The term “periodontitis” refers to bacterial infections of the gums. These infections cause many problems. They cause inflammation of the gums, but also cause bone to be lost near the teeth. The term “gingivitis” refers to mild gum inflammation. When it has been happening for several years and has started to cause bone loss, the name Periodontitis applies.

Traditional dentists and dental hygienists recommend having the gums and teeth cleaned professionally (and expensively - by them!) every 3 or 4 months. I wonder if that is really necessary. It seems like there should be some natural remedy that could counteract the progression of gingivitis and periodontitis.

Actually, in the case of our seventeen year old son, we have ordered a bottle of Oram Plus.

This preparation is a combination of natural essential oils, herbs and plant extracts… our son is scheduled to have a gum treatment done tomorrow afternoon. I’ll be sure to fill you in on everything we find out.
